Job summary

Crane Solutions LLC seeks a Capacity Planning Supervisor, Ground to lead a team ensuring every shipment has a qualified carrier on time. You’ll own coverage, cost confirmation, and margin control while mentoring planners and escalating when needed.

Requirements include 5–7 years in carrier procurement, TMS experience (Descartes Aljex preferred), and strong negotiation skills. On-site role in Houston with a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field.
• 5–7 years in carrier procurement, brokerage, dispatch, or capacity management with leadership experience.
• Hands-on experience with a transportation management system and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Own the open shipments board and ensure coverage ahead of pickup windows.
• Approve rate exceptions and maintain margin discipline across files.
• Coach and develop Capacity Planning Specialists with regular feedback.
• Forecast demand, monitor KPIs, and use Power BI for capacity and cost dashboards.
