Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• 3 years of professional nursing experience.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required.
• National Certification desirable; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the placement of elective and emergent admissions and transfers.
• Ensure patients are admitted or transferred to the most appropriate available bed.
• Communicate and implement the Capacity Management plan for the day.
• Review patient conditions for appropriate placement.
• Track bed availability and maintain logs/records.
• Conduct walking rounds on nursing units to identify discharge barriers.
• Monitor bed availability and pending discharges.
• Act as a resource for patient placement staff regarding unit capabilities.
• Make recommendations for unit closures or downsizing.
• Facilitate transfers and manage patient flow in the ETC.
