Job summary

Texas Capital Bank seeks a Capacity & Forecasting Analyst to develop volume forecasts, capacity models, and workforce analytics across Banking Operations. You will partner with leaders to forecast demand, optimize staffing, and improve service levels, using data-driven insights.

The role focuses on forecasting accuracy, budgeting support, and governance of forecasting standards while coordinating with Process Excellence to establish a Center of Excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field such as Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or Data Analytics.
• 3-5 years of experience in capacity planning, workforce management, forecasting, and analytics in banking or financial services preferred.
• Strong Excel skills with pivot tables, Power Query and complex formulas; experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Develop short-, medium-, and long-term forecasts for operational volumes.
• Build and maintain capacity models to determine staffing requirements.
• Analyze workforce utilization, productivity, and workload distribution.
• Develop dashboards and recurring reports for management review.

Position Summary

The Capacity & Forecasting Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining volume forecasts, workforce capacity models, productivity analyses, and staffing recommendations across Banking Operations. This role serves as a key partner to operational leaders by providing data-driven insights that support workforce planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and service level management. The analyst will monitor business trends, forecast future demand, identify capacity constraints, and recommend solutions that optimize staffing levels while maintaining operational efficiency and customer service standards.

Forecasting & Demand Planning

Develop short-, medium-, and long-term forecasts for operational volumes across supported business units. Analyze historical trends, seasonality, pipeline activity, and business drivers to predict future workload volumes. Build and maintain forecasting models using statistical and business-based methodologies. Partner with business leaders to understand upcoming initiatives and incorporate expected impacts into forecasts. Evaluate forecast accuracy and continuously refine forecasting assumptions and methodologies.

Capacity Planning

Develop capacity models that determine staffing requirements based on volume forecasts, productivity assumptions, and service level targets. Assess current workforce capacity and identify potential staffing gaps or excess capacity. Support annual budgeting, workforce planning, and strategic staffing decisions. Perform scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of volume changes, productivity improvements, or organizational changes. Recommend staffing strategies to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Workforce Analytics

Analyze workforce utilization, productivity, and workload distribution. Monitor key performance indicators including: Capacity utilization Throughput Productivity Service levels Turnaround times Staffing ratios Identify opportunities for operational improvement through data analysis.

Reporting & Insights

Develop dashboards, scorecards, and recurring management reports. Present forecast, capacity, and workforce insights to management teams. Translate complex data into actionable business recommendations. Support executive presentations with workforce and operational analytics.

Process Improvement & Governance

Assist in establishing forecasting and capacity planning standards across the organization. Document forecasting methodologies, assumptions, and business rules. Partner with Process Excellence and Continuous Improvement teams to measure realized efficiencies. Support the development of a Capacity Planning and Forecasting Center of Excellence.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in: Business Finance Economics Mathematics Statistics Data Analytics Related field

Experience 3-5 years of experience in: Capacity planning Workforce management Forecasting Business analytics Financial planning & analysis Operational analytics Banking or financial services experience preferred. Experience supporting large operational teams preferred.

Technical Skills Required: Advanced Excel skills Pivot Tables, Power Query, Complex formulas, Scenario modeling Data visualization tools; Power BI preferred; Tableau acceptable Strong analytical and quantitative skills
