Job summary

Anthropic Limited is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager for Capacity Engineering to lead a team that builds and operates production systems for capacity planning, data pipelines, and efficiency initiatives. You will set technical direction, grow senior engineers, and ensure reliability across surfaces used by leadership, research, and finance.

This onsite role focuses on people, priorities, and cross‑organizational alignment while balancing three areas: data platform telemetry and billing,

Qualifications

• Experience leading software or infrastructure engineering teams, including hiring, performance management, and career growth.
• Strong background in production systems—data engineering, infrastructure, distributed systems, or observability.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure and Kubernetes-based infrastructure; modern monitoring stacks.

Responsibilities

• Be hands-on, lead and grow the team, hire, onboard, coach, and retain senior and staff engineers.
• Champion internal customers across research, inference, infrastructure, and finance; translate needs into the roadmap.
• Own the roadmap by translating compute strategy into prioritized engineering plans across data platform, planning, and efficiency.
• Set technical bar with design reviews, architecture input, and production‑level standards (Python/SQL, SLOs).
• Run the team as a product organization; gather requirements, define contracts, and ensure data quality and discoverability.
• Be the primary partner for cross‑functional stakeholders; align capacity decisions and spend with leadership.
