Under routine supervision, this Capacity Coordinator I is responsible for the coordination of a small-sized/less complex group of carriers and/or independently contracted (IC) drivers. This position ensures safe and timely service through the accurate planning, routing, monitoring, and delivery of freight and loads. The incumbent must be able to work any shift to satisfy the demand for flexibility in scheduling to ensure operational success. This includes but is not limited to day, night, and weekend shifts.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED WITH 1-2 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, and/or equivalent military experience AND the ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed
AND/OR Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences:
Strong professional communication skills applied internally and externally
Proven experience in establishing and maintaining healthy working relationships
Experience in fostering strong customer relationships via delivery of commitments, open communication, and ongoing feedback/improvement
Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy
Accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
Experience in Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
Ability to consistently travel to account and customer locations
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and shifting priorities and directives
Experience in holding people accountable and conducting difficult conversations
Ability to perform in a stressful and high-pressure work environment
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field AND 1 year of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, and/or equivalent military experience
