Job summary

Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians seeks a Canyon Services Representative to deliver guest services at Indian Canyons, Tahquitz Canyon, and the Visitor Center. You will greet visitors, answer calls, provide information, and assist with admissions and merchandise sales.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year in retail or customer service, with strong people and communication skills. On-site work with casual dress and opportunities for advancement available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors at front reception and answer inquiries.
• Manage admissions and merchandise sales at canyons and Visitor Center.
• Provide information on Agua Caliente entities and discounts.
• Make reservations for Tahquitz Canyon hikes.
• Maintain Visitor Center stock and cleanliness.
• Assist in snack bar/food service as applicable.
• Handle additional administrative duties as required.

Job Description Summary

Canyon Services Representative will perform guest services for Indian Canyons, Tahquitz Canyon and the Visitor Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other Duties May Be Assigned)

• Handles front reception; greets incoming visitors, answers all incoming phone calls, and provides information regarding Indian, Tahquitz Canyons and ACBCI related businesses.
• Monitor the vehicle entrance into canyons and perform other customer service functions such as the collection of admissions, selling of merchandise, and responding to guest inquiries.
• Offers information and/or coupons on the various business entities of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. Sells discount tickets to the Indian Canyons.
• Makes reservations for the Tahquitz Canyon interpretive hikes.
• Keeps Visitor Center stocked with brochures and coupons.
• Assist in daily clean‑up of the Visitor Center.
• Provides snack bar/food service. (Trading Post location only.)
• Performs other administrative duties as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to sit, stand for up to 8 hour shift, walk, reach, talk, and hear. The individual must be physically fit to be able to lift 30 lb. and work in temperatures of 90 degrees F. or higher. Typically, the individual will be housed in an office environment, but may occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the working environment is usually moderate to quiet.
