Job summary

The Outreach Team in Nebraska is hiring Door-to-Door Outreach Reps on a full-time, part-time, or temporary basis. The role offers hourly pay up to $26 and additional bonuses, with paid training at $20/hr for the first 3 days.

Overtime, bonuses, and a statewide remote option are available to fit your schedule. As a canvasser, you will share campaign messages, collect complete voter surveys, and record responses in a mobile app.

Qualifications

• Experience in leadership, public speaking, and grassroots outreach preferred.
• Comfort with canvassing and engaging diverse communities.
• Ability to record voter responses accurately using digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Share a compelling campaign message and collect voter survey responses
• Record voter responses using a mobile canvassing app (training provided)
• Canvass with a local team or independently in your community on a flexible schedule
• Take part in ongoing training to sharpen outreach skills
• Walk several miles per shift in all kinds of weather
• Lead a small team of canvassers in the field and coordinate daily check-ins
• Ensure canvassers have materials needed to succeed
• Assist directors with training and administrative work
• Engage with people from all backgrounds respectfully

Standard shifts run 11:45am–8pm, weekdays and weekends

Canvasser Responsibilities

• Take part in ongoing training to sharpen your outreach skills
• Walk several miles per shift in all kinds of weather
• Lead a small team of canvassers in the field, checking in throughout the day and debriefing at the end of each shift
• Make sure every canvasser has the materials they need to succeed
• Help directors with training and administrative work
• Enjoy meeting new people and are excited to talk with everyone, whatever their politics
• Treat teammates and community members from all backgrounds with respect
