Job Title: Cantonese Language Instructor

Job Type: Part-time; 3 hours/week (potential for more based on student demand)

Location: Downtown Boston

Start Date: As soon as possible

We are looking to expand our language offerings and are looking to hire a Cantonese teacher for private classes and small groups of all levels for adults. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic instructor who is comfortable working in a flexible schedule.

The ideal candidate will:

Have a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Cantonese Language and Literature, or a related field

Be fluent in Cantonese and/or Mandarin, and speak one or both at native level

Have at least 5 years’ experience teaching Cantonese to adults in both group and 1:1 classes

Be able to work independently to design language curricula

Have demonstrated ability to effectively engage students of all levels

Have experience in multicultural settings and working with a diverse team

Preferred qualifications include:

A Master’s degree or higher in related field

Ability/interest in teaching any additional languages
