Job summary

Boston Area Spanish Exchange is seeking an Italian Language Instructor for private classes and small adult groups in Downtown Boston and surrounding areas. This part-time position requires a strong stand-alone ability to design curricula and engage learners of all levels with a flexible schedule.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or higher in Italian Language and Literature (Master’s preferred) and has at least five years of experience teaching adults in both group and private settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Italian Language and Literature, or a related field.
• Native fluency in Italian.
• 5+ years’ experience teaching Italian to adults in both group and private classes.
• Be able to design language curricula independently.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively engage students of all levels.
• Experience in multicultural settings and working with a diverse team.

Location: Downtown Boston and in the Boston area

Start Date: As soon as possible

We are looking to expand our language offerings and are looking to hire an Italian teacher for private classes and small groups of all levels for adults. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic instructor who is comfortable working in a flexible schedule.

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Have a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Italian Language and Literature, or a related field
• Have native fluency in Italian
• Have at least 5 years’ experience teaching Italian to adults in both group and private classes
• Be able to work independently to design language curricula
• Have demonstrated ability to effectively engage students of all levels
• Have experience in multicultural settings and working with a diverse team

Preferred Qualifications Include

• A Master’s degree or higher in related field
• Ability/interest in teaching any additional languages
