Job summary

Northern Waters Casino Resort in Watersmeet Township, Michigan, is seeking a Lead for Canoe's Landing Grab and Go Outlet. This full‑time position oversees staff and operations, ensuring guests receive timely service and high‑quality food and beverages, while modeling professionalism and adherence to recipes.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• One or more years of customer service or hospitality experience.
• One or more years of money handling experience.
• Strong mathematical aptitude/skills.
• ServSafe certification or ability to become certified within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff in the Grab and Go Outlet in the Outlet Manager's absence.
• Read, implement, and adhere to NWCR policies and procedures and gaming regulations.
• Provide excellent hospitality by greeting customers and guiding staff to as well.
• Take phone and pickup orders accurately and ensure staff do the same.
• Explain menu items and provide recommendations based on customer preferences.
• Train team members to promote the menu and ensure recipe compliance.
• Follow all recipes and maintain inventory and ordering as needed.
• Remain flexible to cover other outlets and shifts; work nights, weekends, holidays.
• Comply with regulatory meetings and trainings as required by management.

PAYRATE: $15.00 - $19.00/Hour(Non-Exempt) D.O.E.

DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for overseeing the staff and operations of theGrab and Go Outlet in the absence of the Outlet Manager. Assist in ensuringteam members are engaging customers, taking food orders correctly, makingspecialty coffee drinks and food items by adhering to standard recipes.Responsible for promoting consistency and professionalism through training andleading by example.

Primary Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with supervising employees who work inthe Grab and Go Outlet which includes scheduling, training, and following up on disciplinary measures when issues arise.
• Shall be required toread, implement, and adhere to all NWCR Policies and Procedures, LVD GamingOrdinance, Tribal/State Gaming Compact, NIGC Minimum Internal ControlStandards, Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, LVD Tribal Internal Control Standards, Title 31 Minimum Internal Control Standards, NWCR Casino Employee Handbook,Food & Beverage Department Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Provide an excellent hospitality experience byacknowledging and greeting customers in a positive and timely manner whilemonitoring Grab and Go Outlet staff to do the same.
• Answer the phone in a timely manner, takepick-up orders in an accurate manner, and make sure staff are doing the same.
• Accurately use the payment system and accuratelyhandle monies.
• Understand all menu items and be able to explainthem in detail to customers to provide recommendations based onpreferences.
• Train team members to ensure they have theskills to promote the menu by ensuring they fully understand all menuoptions.
• Follow all recipes and consistently produce andprovide all food and beverage offerings at the Grab and Go Outlet, as well asmaking sure team members follow all recipes consistently.
• Assist with placing food and beverage orders asrequired and perform monthly inventory of Grab and Go Outlet/Bakery.
• Assist Baker to ensure bakery/grab and go itemsare fresh, diverse, and ready for purchase.
• All employees must be flexible and assume otherresponsibilities and tasks as assigned by management and as management deemsnecessary; this means fulfilling all other job duties as assigned in otheroutlets.
• Flexible with scheduled shifts and willing towork nights, weekends, and holidays.
• To remain in compliance with Casino Regulatorypolicies and procedures, employees are required to attend all necessarymeetings and training facilitated by Management.

Skills & Qualifications:

MINIMUMREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year experience in customer service orhospitality (hotel/restaurant) setting.
• 1+ year money handling experience.
• Strong mathematical aptitude/skills.
• ServSafe certified or be able to be ServSafecertified within first (90) days of employment.
• Must pass background checks and otherpre-employment screenings necessary to receive and maintain a Gaming License.

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ year experience in supervisory/managementposition – preferably in a customer service or hospitality setting.
• 1+ year experience in a casino setting.

PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged walking and standing for long periodsof time – up to 90% of the time.
• Frequent bending and stopping.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to frequently sit, stoop, kneel, andcrouch.
