Job summary

Good Day Farm is seeking an Assistant General Retail Manager to support the overall management of the cannabis retail facility. The role reports to the Retail General Manager and blends leadership with operational excellence, regulatory awareness, and strong customer relations.

You will lead staff training, assist in hiring, manage schedules, and help meet payroll expectations while upholding company culture and compliance across all duties.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year in a leadership position in retail, hospitality, service, or cannabis related industries.
• Cannabis industry experience preferred.
• Must be able to clear a background check.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated capability in people management and culture building.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff training and development; assist in hiring and team management; conduct employee reviews.
• Be a cultural leader and model company values for all team members.
• Lead and assist in staff coaching and setting standards of success for every team member.
• Manage revenue and sales goals with holistic management, staff training, and customer relations.
• Oversee inventory processes and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and prevent loss.
• Lead daily store opening and closing duties, cash management, and store upkeep.
• Oversee visual merchandising and the customer experience.
