Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Research Assistant in the Bio-Behavioral Medicine Division to assist, coordinate, plan and implement research protocols. The role includes subject recruitment, testing, data recording, consent, and adherence to FDA, IRB and GCP guidelines in connection with research trials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; two years of relevant program experience preferred.
• Ability to recruit and screen participants and coordinate study visits.
• Ability to collect, organize and analyze information clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Assist recruitment and phone screening of research participants; develop advertising materials.
• Obtain informed consent; enroll participants and conduct visits per protocol; coordinate visits with clinical staff.
• Monitor overnight shifts; maintain documentation per FDA, IRB and GCP guidelines.
• Coordinate data management, submit data to research bases and support data retrieval for analyses.
• Maintain study materials, schedule sponsor monitoring visits, and ensure compliance with MUSC/VA standards.
• Assist in COVID procedures including screening and data collection with safety measures.
