Job summary

The State of Missouri seeks a Compliance Officer to regulate cannabis licensees, ensure adherence to constitutional and program rules, and improve the regulatory program. You will review licensee information, conduct inspections and investigations, and provide guidance to licensees across the division.

The role involves developing procedures, performing audits, and communicating findings to leadership while supporting ongoing program development in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• 2 to 4 years of relevant regulatory experience; substitutions allowed.
• Reliable transportation for site visits, inspections, investigations.
• Regulatory experience is highly preferred.
• Strong initiative, problem solving, and time management.
• Ability to mine data and use data for compliance and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate guidance documents and procedures to aid licensees.
• Conduct audits and reviews of licensee plans, SOPs, and security measures.
• Schedule and perform routine inspections for licenses and changes.
• Prepare inspection reports and follow up with notices of violation.
• Review licensee requests and provide recommendations to supervision.
• Educate licensees on compliance requirements and changes.
• Respond to inquiries regarding compliance issues and investigations.
• Analyze cannabis product inventory in statewide systems for compliance.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and prepare reports.
• Maintain knowledge of assigned licenses and inform leadership.
