Job summary

Green Thumb Industries in Ocala, FL is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for our cannabis manufacturing facility. You will lead production staff on the plant floor, ensure product quality and inventory integrity, and work hands-on with the team to optimize processes and safety.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in production, 2+ in supervision, a high school diploma (BSc/BA preferred), strong organizational and communication skills, and a track record in continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a production environment.
• 2+ years in a supervisory capacity.
• High school diploma or GED; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement (Kaizen, Gemba Walks).
• Able to work independently or in teams on the plant floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead production staff to operate efficiently and safely.
• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities.
• Institute and improve departmental policies and goals.
• Monitor results and provide performance feedback.
• Coach and develop employees; manage performance.
• Schedule training to boost productivity and accuracy.
• Monitor output for compliance with specifications.
• Ensure safety and operating procedures are followed.
• Identify issues and drive improvements on workflow.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and departmental budgeting.
• Support production efficiencies as directed by leadership.
• Lead quality-conscious production meeting internal specs.
