Job summary

Green Thumb in Roanoke, VA is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to direct and manage the dispensing of cannabis products to medical patients. You will educate patients, ensure correct dosage, and serve as the onsite medical authority while reviewing therapy appropriateness and potential drug interactions.

You will be in-store during shifts, assess certifications, drive patient retention, and help with inventory, deliveries, and online orders as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered and licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the state of operations.
• 2+ years of relevant pharmacy experience with an excellent patient and customer focused approach.
• Ability to learn cannabinoids and how they interact with the human body.
• Previous experience utilizing Point of Sale technology systems.
• Working knowledge of inventory and sales reporting.
• Demonstrates professionalism, independence, and integrity in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Be in-store at all times during the scheduled shift to dispense cannabis products.
• Assess patient certification and help determine best course of treatment when appropriate.
• Drive retail sales and patient retention.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and laws.
• Communicate restrictions with the dispensary team about product selection/quantity.
• Provide timely and accurate medication information to patients in person and by phone.
• Educate patients about cannabis properties and benefits.
• Consult patients and assess certification to recommend treatment.
• Stay up to date on current cannabis research and information.
• Assist with additional dispensary tasks as needed by store manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
