Job summary

You’ll perform prospective drug utilization reviews, ensure compliance with laws, and support the dispensary team with product knowledge and patient care. Cannabis education and patient-focused service are central to this role.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in good standing in the state of operation.
• 2+ years of pharmacy experience with patient focus.
• Ability to learn cannabinoids and their interactions.
• Experience using Point of Sale (POS) technology.
• Working knowledge of inventory and sales reporting.
• Professional, self-directed and able to work independently or in teams.
• Compliant with company policies and cannabis laws.
• Meet scheduling and availability requirements.
• Prior cannabis experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Be in-store during scheduled shift to dispense cannabis products.
• Assess patient certification and help determine best course of treatment.
• Drive retail sales and patient retention.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state laws.
• Communicate restrictions to the dispensary team regarding product selection/quantity.
• Provide timely and accurate medication information to patients in person or by phone.
• Educate patients about cannabis properties and benefits.
• Consult with patients and assess certification for treatment plans.
• Stay up-to-date on cannabis research and information.
