Job summary

Story Cannabis is hiring a Packaging Manager to oversee all cannabis packaging operations in a compliant and efficient manner. You will lead packaging staff, develop SOPs, and ensure product integrity from labeling through packaging completion.

You will coordinate with production, QA, and inventory teams to meet schedules and brand standards, while maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience in manufacturing/production, cannabis preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory control, production operations, and packaging workflows.
• Ability to analyze data, set KPIs, and drive process improvements.
• Comfort with tracking systems and cannabis compliance software.

Responsibilities

• Lead packaging department staff including training, scheduling, and performance reviews.
• Oversee daily packaging operations to ensure quality and throughput targets.
• Develop, update, and enforce SOPs for packaging processes and safety.
• Ensure accurate labeling, weighing, sealing, and packaging of products.
• Collaborate with QA to maintain quality control and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with production planning and inventory to align schedules.
• Monitor packaging metrics and drive efficiency improvements.
• Oversee maintenance and repairs of packaging equipment.
• Ensure compliance with state cannabis regulations and labeling rules.
• Maintain packaging material inventory and reordering processes.
• Record packaging quantities, batch logs, and compliance documents.
