Job summary

Green Thumb Industries seeks a Technical Engineer - Packaging who will design, develop, and optimize packaging and automation for our production sites. You will balance protection, cost, regulatory compliance, and brand standards while translating concepts into scalable, production-ready solutions.

The role requires hands-on packaging equipment knowledge, IQ/OQ/PQ validation leadership, and a willingness to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in Packaging Engineering or Technical Engineering.
• Experience in regulated consumer goods manufacturing.
• Cannabis industry experience highly desired.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials and sealing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and validate packaging solutions for product protection during transport and storage.
• Determine automated packaging processes for new GTI products.
• Lead IQ, OQ, and PQ validations for packaging equipment.
• Own the hardware side of label printing and ensure uptime across sites.
• Travel to GTI manufacturing locations to scope and implement packaging processes.
