Job summary

Essential Employment Services Inc. is seeking an Inventory and Compliance Specialist to manage cannabis product inventory, support compliance, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

You will maintain METRC and Dutchie systems, create invoices, and ensure accurate records across operations. Applicants should have at least two years in inventory management, familiarity with cannabis regulations, and readiness to work irregular hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in the cannabis industry.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with inventory management software.
• Knowledge of state and local regulations pertaining to cannabis storage and handling.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Understanding of quality control principles and problem solving.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Control and manage inventory operations including receiving, stocking, tracking, and organizing cannabis products.
• Maintain Dutchie and METRC tracking systems.
• Create shipping invoices and manifests; update catalog in both systems.
• Assist with product compliance labels production.
• Coordinate with Inventory Supervisor and Manager during audits.
• Ensure accurate inventory levels and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with cultivation, processing, and sales to move inventory efficiently.
• Keep inventory storage area clean and organized for efficiency and safety.
• Follow all state and local cannabis regulations for storage, handling, and transport.
• Perform regular inventory counts to reconcile records.
