Job summary

Greenthumbindustries is seeking a Leader in Training to join the dispensary leadership team in Normal, IL. The role focuses on supervising daily operations, optimizing the customer journey, and rotating through critical functions to build subject-matter expertise for advancement to Assistant General Manager.

You will lead teams, ensure regulatory compliance, participate in on-duty shifts, and drive in-store promotions while developing a high-performing staff committed to exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of customer service or retail experience, including at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Cannabis experience preferred.
• Inventory control experience preferred.
• Availability to work varied shifts including mornings, days, nights, and weekends.
• Must have reliable attendance.
• Must be 21 years or older and able to pass background checks.
• Must have a valid driver’s license or state ID and comply with Green Thumb policies.
• Solid understanding of cannabis laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support management in overseeing the execution of all dispensary operations to ensure compliance with security, inventory, and local and state regulations.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels and communicate inventory action items with management.
• Oversee the intake and verification of deliveries, transfers, and inventory management, ensuring accuracy within the vault.
• Lead team members to execute programs and regionalized in-store promotions.
• Demonstrate proper cash handling, including processing payments, discount application, and cash maintenance.
• Lead by example to motivate team and deliver memorable in-store customer experiences.
• Participate in Leader On Duty shifts to supervise staff and reinforce customer journey improvements.
• Facilitate a seamless omni-channel customer experience across in-store, drive-thru, curbside & delivery.
• Build and retain a high-performing team with onboarding and training of new team members.
• Provide coaching and feedback and enforce accountability.
• Help facilitate the store’s team member badging process with local/state agencies.
• Schedule shifts and manage meal breaks and rest periods.
• Perform other duties as needed.
