Job summary

Digs Dog Care Millstone Township is looking for a Canine Caretaker to care for overnight guests, walk and feed dogs, and maintain clean suites. You’ll record how dogs eat, go to the bathroom, and how they feel, while greeting clients during check-in and check-out.

No prior dog experience is required as training is provided; you must be at least 16, stay organized, and be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. Weekend shifts are required.

About the role

• As a Canine Caretaker, you take care of our overnight guests. You’ll walk and feed dogs, keep their suites clean and safe, and keep careful notes on how each dog is eating, going to the bathroom, and feeling. You’ll also greet clients briefly when their dogs check in and out. If you love dogs and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, you’ll fit right in with our care team.

Qualifications

• 16 years or older
• Experience with dogs is a plus but not required. We’ll train you.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills for following instructions and keeping records
• Pays close attention to dogs, including signs like growling or whining
• Communicates clearly with coworkers, managers, and clients
• Organized and finishes tasks on time
• Available for at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
• Able to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and bend, kneel, and squat
• Comfortable in a noisy setting (lots of barking!)

Growth Path

Our care team learns dog handling, behavior, and daily care from the ground up. Strong performers can grow into roles such as Team Lead, Daycare Attendant, Supervisor, or full-time positions.

Fast Facts About this Location

• Full-service resort offering daycare, boarding, grooming, swimming, training, and more under one roof
• Shifts: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm
• One weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) required. If you have questions about scheduling, just ask.
