Job summary

Digs Dog Care Millstone Township, New Jersey, United States is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to be the first face clients see and the first voice they hear. You’ll check dogs in and out, book daycare, boarding, grooming, and training, answer calls, give facility tours, and help pet parents feel good about leaving their dog with us.

You’ll join a friendly front desk team and report to our Front Desk Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience is welcome but training is provided.
• Comfortable using a computer and booking software.
• Basic math skills for handling payments.
• Friendly phone presence, even on tough calls.
• Organized, dependable, and calm under pressure.
• Genuine love of dogs.
• Able to sit or stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable in a moderately noisy setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their dogs with a warm, welcoming attitude.
• Answer phones promptly and follow up on calls and messages.
• Book and update reservations, cancellations, and grooming and training appointments.
• Set up new client profiles and enter vaccination records.
• Check pets in and out, accurately recording medications, belongings, and activities.
• Process payments and handle cash accurately.
• Give facility tours and help clients choose the right services.
• Keep clients and your supervisor informed about any concerns with their pets.
• Complete the daily front desk checklist.
• Pitch in with other duties as needed.

• Able to sit or stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable in a moderately noisy setting (yes, there’s barking!)

What to Expect When Applying

• Phone screening regarding your application.
• An in-person interview to meet the team, tour the location, and get a glimpse of what your day-to-day will be like.
• Orientation and training classes covering company policies, procedures, dog body language, and behavior.

The pay range for this role is:
18 - 20 USD per hour(Greenleaf Millstone)
