Newport Aquarium is hiring a Team Lead for Sweet Dreams Candy Co. in Newport, KY. The role oversees 1–4 hosts, ensures guest satisfaction, and enforces safety and PCI standards while coordinating with Food & Beverage management.

You'll train, evaluate, and guide staff, maintain records, and handle guest feedback. Flexible scheduling includes evenings/weekends; ServSafe or similar certification a plus.

Formación

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is a plus.
• Prior point of sale experience is a plus.
• Strong public speaking skills and proficiency in English.
• Ability to think clearly and react to changes and emergencies.
• Previous lead experience preferred; guest service or retail experience preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• ServSafe Certification or Food Service Manager Certification a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a team of 1 to 4 people and supervise the candy store processes.
• Help management develop, motivate and manage the team.
• Assist in evaluations and training of candy store hosts.
• Help implement new policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records involving employees, awards, and recognitions.
• Handle comments and questions from employees and guests about the guest experience.
• Stay informed about Newport Aquarium activities and events to inform guests.
• Coordinate with other teams to ensure effective communication.
• Cross train in other Food and Beverage areas when needed.
• Maintain PCI compliance.
• Ensure store cleanliness and perform daily operations like checkout, fudge and cotton candy prep, pricing and stock.
• Assist guests with questions and complete transactions.
• Follow opening/closing procedures and break schedules.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
