Job summary

Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York City is seeking a Sales and Cafe Associate to deliver exceptional customer experiences and support daily store operations. You’ll be the brand ambassador, engaging guests, sharing product passion, and maintaining a vibrant, fun shopping environment.

Ideal candidates bring POS and cash handling experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a readiness to work flexible hours including weekends. Knowledge of our heritage and offerings is a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with customers.
• Friendly, outgoing and confident in social interactions.
• Experience with Point of Sale and cash handling is required.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Familiarity with Dylan’s Candy Bar products and history is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Exceed individual KPI goals by delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality sales.
• Engage customers with friendly communication that aligns with Dylan’s Candy Bar brand standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Dylan’s Candy Bar heritage, products and café offerings.
• Highlight current in-store promotions and events to encourage participation.
• Assess customer needs and provide product recommendations throughout the shopping journey.
• Manage store flow and wait times for a seamless guest experience.
• Restock and recover the sales floor to support visual merchandising standards.
• Accurately handle cash register transactions and POS procedures for sales and returns.
• Assist with store setups, events, and brand activations as needed.
