Job summary

Weekday is seeking a Candidate Outreach Associate Intern to join our remote India team. You will call shortlisted candidates, explain the role and company, and gauge interest while keeping detailed logs in the ATS.

You’ll collaborate with HR to align on priorities, handle objections, and follow up via calls, WhatsApp, or email to keep candidates engaged through interview or offer stages.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in English and local language.
• Smart, quick learner who can grasp job details fast and explain them simply.
• Comfortable making multiple outbound calls daily and handling rejection professionally.
• Basic computer skills (Google Sheets/Excel, email, WhatsApp).
• Prior experience in BPO, telecalling, sales, or recruitment outreach is a plus but not mandatory for interns.

Responsibilities

• Call shortlisted candidates from the database / ATS and inform them that their profile is shortlisted for a specific role and company.jobdescription
• Clearly explain the role, company, location, shift, and key highlights in a way that makes the opportunity feel important and worth pursuing.
• Assess candidate interest, answer basic queries, and address common objections (timing, location, notice period, etc.)
• Maintain accurate call logs and candidate status updates in the tracker/ATS (e.g., “contacted”, “interested”, “not interested”, “call back”).
• Follow up via call/WhatsApp/email as needed to keep candidates engaged until interview or offer stage.
• Work closely with the recruitment/HR team to understand role priorities and update them on candidate response patterns.

**This is an internal role at Weekday. Not a role by a client.

Location:**
India (Remote)

Work Schedule: 9 hours per day, 6 days per week

Employment Type: 6-Month Contract (High performance converts to an Extension or Full-time)

Compensation: ₹10,000 – ₹15,000 / month fixed + additional performance-based incentive

• Familiarity with ATS tools or candidate tracking sheets.
