Job summary

Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is a leading rehabilitation institute in Illinois seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for its Cancer Rehabilitation Program. The APP will work with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to provide and coordinate rehabilitation care for cancer patients across the continuum of care, including prehabilitation, active treatment, survivorship, and palliative care.

The role requires a Master’s degree (APRN or PA), IL licensure, and professional certification with ANCC

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an approved APRN or Physician Assistant program.
• Certification by ANCC as NP or CNS or NCCPA certification required.
• Illinois RN/APRN or PA licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized clinical care for individuals with cancer across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Evaluate and manage functional impairments and rehabilitation needs related to cancer and its treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing, and oncology teams for coordinated care.
• Develop treatment plans, educate patients and families, and facilitate care coordination.
• Participate in program development, data collection, and quality improvement initiatives.
