Shirley Ryan AbilityLab seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join the Cancer Rehabilitation Program, delivering and coordinating rehabilitation care for individuals with cancer across the care continuum.

The role collaborates with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, provide procedures, and educate patients. A Master’s degree and current APRN or PA certification are required, with Illinois licensure typical for practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized clinical care for cancer patients across inpatient, outpatient, and consultation settings.
• Evaluate and manage functional impairments and rehabilitation needs related to cancer therapies.
• Participate in longitudinal management through prehabilitation, active treatment, survivorship, and palliative care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and oncology teams for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families about functional recovery, rehabilitation interventions, and available resources.
• Contribute to program development, pathways, and quality improvement initiatives.
