Job summary

CHI Health Good Samaritan seeks a Tumor Registrar to organize and maintain our cancer patient data system, ensuring ACOS standards and Kentucky Cancer Program requirements are met. You will abstract data from medical records and analyze cancer occurrence and outcomes to support patient care and research.

We expect an Associate of Science degree, experience in medical coding or transcription, and plan to obtain CTR certification within 24 months.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science or equivalent education required to sit for CTR certification.
• Experience in medical coding or transcription.
• CTR certification to be obtained within 24 months of hire.
• Proficiency in cancer registry software and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain cancer registry data; ensure ACOS standards and Kentucky Cancer Program requirements.
• Abstract and review medical and pathology records to determine eligibility for the registry.
• Analyze numerical cancer data related to occurrence, case management, and outcomes.
