The Cancer Registrar is a highly trained data management expert responsible for managing, analyzing, and interpreting clinical cancer information for education, research, and outcome measurement. CTRs identify reportable cancer cases, code each case accurately within 6 months, and ensure complete data collection adhering to standards of ACOS and CoC. They serve as a bridge between clinicians and statisticians, supporting hospital planning, treatment, research, and patient outcome monitoring.
