Job summary

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia seeks an Advancement Associate to support the Cancer Programs fundraising team within UVA Health Development. The role emphasizes organization, relationship-building, and confidential data handling in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting.

You'll partner with frontline fundraisers, faculty, and colleagues to coordinate calendars, prepare materials, and advance donor engagement while ensuring HIPAA compliance and professional discretion across

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum two years of related administrative or project support experience.
Experience with Salesforce CRM or Workday preferred.
Healthcare, nonprofit, higher education, or healthcare organization experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate calendars, meetings, and travel for frontline fundraising professionals and faculty partners.
Prepare meeting agendas, donor briefings, reports, and presentation materials.
Assist with donor stewardship activities, follow-up communications, acknowledgments, and correspondence.
Support fundraising events, meetings, and donor engagement activities.
Process expense reports, reimbursements, and other administrative tasks.
