Job summary

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is seeking up to two Program Coordinators to plan, coordinate, and execute center-level events and activities, while providing administrative and operations support. This is a 100% full-time Civil Service position, located on campus in Champaign-Urbana, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Salary ranges from $55,000 to $70,000, with a budgeted salary range and start date as soon as possible after the close date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Student Affairs, or a closely related field.
• Two (2) years of professional work experience as Administrative Assistant and/or in Events Planning, Conference Management, Public Relations, Communications, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience serving as a professional liaison between organizational units.

Responsibilities

• Plan events and manage timelines, budgets, and logistics for center-level activities.
• Coordinate venue, catering, travel, and vendor communications with health regulations in mind.
• Lead guest speaker involvement from invitation to reimbursement, including travel arrangements.
• Manage guest lists, registrations, and communications for attendees and speakers.
• Oversee event day operations, debriefs, and post-event reporting.
