Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and nursing leadership with administrative and clinical tasks. You will greet patients, collect histories, document vitals, and assist during exams to ensure patient comfort and efficient care.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, completed MA program with externship, and BLS-C certification. Epic EMR experience and phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with externship (160 hours minimum).
• Current BLS-C certification on hire or by end of orientation.
• Preferred EPIC (EMR) experience.
• Phlebotomy experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience.
• Obtain and record accurate medical histories to support patient care.
• Measure and document vital signs, contributing to comprehensive patient assessments.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring readiness and comfort.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures, facilitating efficient and effective care.
