Job summary

Henry Ford Health seeks a Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care teams in Detroit. You will greet patients, measure vital signs, document histories, and prepare exam rooms under supervision.

You may administer vaccines and medications per protocol, document in the EHR, and help with patient education and discharge instructions. The role requires completion of an accredited MA program with externship, strong communication skills, and proficiency with EPIC EMR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with clinical externship (160 hours) preferred.
• Experience with ambulatory care and medical terminology beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Escort patient to room and prepare for examination.
• Obtain and record vital signs in the EHR.
• Record patient history and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered.
• Document care in the EHR and communicate with the care team.
