Job summary

Priority Waste Resources in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Can Delivery Driver to pick up and deliver containers to customer accounts, with 10–12 hour shifts and some Saturdays. You will perform routine vehicle inspections and operate a heavy-duty truck to service residential routes daily.

Professional communication with customers and dispatch is essential, along with safe driving and adherence to OSHA/DOT and local regulations.

Qualifications

Must have a valid Chauffeur's License.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts, including some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Performs pre and post trip inspections of truck.
Operates truck in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws.
Mounts and dismounts a heavy‑duty truck many times each day.
Operates a Moffett forklift to load and unload containers.
Completes assigned residential route daily, leaving the customer’s location free of debris.
Professionally communicates with customers as needed.
Notifies Route Manager/Dispatch of any accidents, injuries, property damage, or any other incidents.
Notifies Route Manager/Dispatch of any service interruptions such as closed lots, blocked containers, safety hazards etc.
Identifies and reports all containers in need of repair/replacement.
Attends training programs, briefings, and meetings as required.
Communicates customer requests to Route Manager/Dispatch.
Immediately communicates mechanical problems to Mechanic and Supervisor.
Maintains cleanliness of vehicle.
Maintains professional appearance.
