Job summary

EY is seeking a Camunda Workflow Automation Engineer in Raleigh (or Dallas) to join our FSO Technology Service Delivery team. You’ll design, build and test Camunda-based workflow solutions, leveraging BPMN/DMN, Java and Spring Boot to automate complex business processes for financial services clients.

This fast-paced role requires deep Camunda expertise, hands-on development in microservices and cloud-native environments, and the ability to collaborate with business analysts and architects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years in enterprise software development with at least 4 years Camunda implementation experience.
• Experience designing and delivering workflow automation solutions using Camunda BPM, BPMN 2.0, DMN, and process orchestration.
• Experience leading the design and development of Java and Spring Boot services supporting workflow execution and business process automation.
• Experience integrating Camunda with REST APIs, enterprise applications, databases, and messaging platforms.
• Experience defining workflow architecture, process modeling standards, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, containerization, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated deployment processes.
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies for workflow automation solutions.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments and collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Automate decision processes using DMN and integrate enterprise applications.
• Deliver scalable, reliable, and highly automated business solutions.
• Lead workflow solution design and establish enterprise automation patterns.
• Work with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate business processes into executable workflow solutions.
• Provide recommendations on process optimization and automation best practices.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
