Job summary

Fidelity TalentSource is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer – BPM Developer to design, develop, and support Camunda-based workflow automation in Westlake, TX.

You will work with business partners, product owners, and architects to implement scalable automation solutions that modernize Workplace Investing operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience using Java and Spring Boot.
• 3+ years designing and developing workflow solutions with Camunda.
• Strong understanding of BPMN 2.0, workflow orchestration, and process lifecycle management.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating enterprise applications.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Strong object‑oriented programming and software design patterns.
• Experience using Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Strong ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support workflow automation solutions using Camunda and Java-based technologies.
• Create and maintain BPMN workflows, process orchestrations, business rules, and workflow integrations.
• Partner with business analysts, product owners, and operations teams to translate requirements into scalable automation solutions.
• Develop REST APIs, microservices, and backend services that integrate with enterprise applications and workflow platforms.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Troubleshoot application and workflow issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to design scalable, secure, and maintainable workflow applications.
• Contribute to modernization of operational systems via cloud-native design patterns and engineering best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily huddles, and retrospectives.
• Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
