Job summary

Worcester State University is seeking a Health and Wellness Educator for the Athletics department. This part-time, non-benefited role will design and implement high-quality health education programs for students, coordinate with campus partners, and evaluate outcomes to support student well-being.

The educator will conduct needs assessments, deliver educational sessions, and assist with grant opportunities while maintaining health promotion communications and materials for a broad campus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Education, Health Sciences or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Master's Degree in Health Education, Health Sciences or related field preferred.
• CHES or CPH certifications preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work with diverse campus populations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate health promotion strategies, policies, programs, and services.
• Coordinate health promotion initiatives based on campus priorities and resources.
• Collaborate with campus partners for a multidisciplinary approach to health and wellness.
• Conduct health needs assessments of students and campus community.
• Collect, analyze and report data to demonstrate program effectiveness.
• Coordinate AOD prevention and education initiatives with campus partners.
• Develop and deliver educational initiatives on nutrition, body image and overall wellness.
• Provide consultations, training and presentations to students, staff and faculty.
• Identify grant opportunities to support health promotion initiatives.
• Maintain health promotion communications and promotional materials.
