University of Utah Health is seeking a Warehouse Materials Handler to support Housing and Dining by receiving, storing, and distributing materials for maintenance and renovation. You will ensure accurate inventory, timely delivery, and safe warehouse practices.

Responsibilities include counting, organizing stock, and coordinating deliveries to job sites, with potential overtime during peak seasons. This on-site role requires basic inventory knowledge and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience.
Warehouse Materials Handler, I: Requires little to no related experience.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies for accuracy and quality.
Store items in designated warehouse locations using proper organization and safety procedures.
Pick, pack, and issue materials to maintenance staff and contractors based on work orders or requests.
Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems or manual logs.
Perform regular cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory audits.
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (as certified).
Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse and storage areas.
Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of shortages or reorder needs.
Assist in coordinating deliveries to job sites or housing facilities.
Follow all safety procedures, policies, and regulations related to material handling and storage.
Support emergency or urgent material needs for housing operations.
