Job summary

Bay Path University seeks a Part-Time Staff member to safely transport students, faculty and staff to locations on and off campus from the Longmeadow campus. The role requires flexible hours and a valid driver's license, with pre-employment checks and driving-course completion.

The Transportation Coordinator supervises the position, ensuring compliant operation, safety, and timely vehicle maintenance. This on-site role supports campus mobility and student services.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Must pass online Safe Driving Course and driving record check.
• Must pass CORI background check.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students, faculty and staff to and from campus locations.
• Be accessible to passengers during trips and assist in emergencies.
• Handle vehicle problems and assist in the event of an accident.
• Report vehicle problems or maintenance needs via inspection paperwork and to supervisor.
• Communicate trip outcomes and issues to the Transportation Coordinator after returns.
• Fuel vehicles after trips and perform post-trip checks.
• Assist with cleaning and waste removal from vehicles after shifts.
• Attend trainings as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
