Sodexo is hiring a Utility Worker at Central Connecticut State University to support kitchen and facility operations, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation across food production and service areas. The role includes basic setup/breakdown tasks and requires walking, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Ideal candidates hold a High School diploma or GED, with knowledge of proper sanitation procedures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, to include basic concepts of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Cleans worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment using chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Restocks supplies; e.g., soap, towels, cleaning materials.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods; shift may exceed 8 hours.
• Lifts up to 50 pounds occasionally.
