Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a part-time Utility Worker at CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY-SAN MARCOS to support kitchen and facility operations with a focus on cleanliness and sanitation across production and service areas.

The role involves cleaning and maintaining equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and storage spaces; transporting and storing supplies; and assisting with basic set-up and break-down tasks. Shifts vary; open availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• No related work experience required.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety basics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in food production and service areas.
• Clean and maintain equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and storage spaces.
• Transport and store supplies and assist with basic setup and breakdown tasks.
• Follow client and Sodexo requirements; rotate tasks as needed.
