Job summary

Irving ISD in Irving, Texas, seeks a Part-Time Campus Tutor for the 26-27 SY to reinforce reading, English, math, science and social studies. Tutor support occurs in class, before school, or after school to help students access rigorous content.

You will work closely with teachers to tailor tutoring sessions, monitor progress and foster student growth in multiple campuses. Qualifications include a high school diploma and college enrollment is desirable.

Qualifications

• Strong background knowledge in English Language Arts or Math/Science/Social Studies.
• Experience supporting elementary and/or secondary students.
• Ability to work with teachers to deliver instruction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
• Support remediation, enrichment and acceleration of student learning.
• Assist in delivering instruction before or after school or during class.
• Review instructional materials to focus tutorial sessions.
• Collaborate with teachers to determine concepts to emphasize.
