Job summary

Ysleta Independent School District in Texas is seeking Part-Time SEE Tutors to provide focused learning activities that support students' literacy, numeracy, and study skills. You will meet with students to clarify concepts, assist with homework, and tailor sessions to individual needs.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes, understands and speaks English; follows verbal and/or written instructions.
• Maintains strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Instructs and manages student behavior with patience and consistency.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject-specific content to help students accomplish educational goals.
• Recognize and adjust different learning styles and student preferences.
• Create a professional and welcoming tutoring environment.
• Assist students with homework, projects, test preparation, and research.
• Use technology to enrich and strengthen the learning process.
• Maintain open and positive communication with students and staff.
• Work with district guidelines and policies during tutoring sessions.
• Part-Time SEE Tutors will work a maximum of 19.5 hours per week.
