Job summary

Ohio University in Athens, OH is seeking a Student Transit Driver for the Loops to provide safe, reliable campus transportation for students and staff. Duties include operating transit vehicles, maintaining schedules, and assisting riders with a focus on safety and customer service.

Shifts run 7am–12:30pm or 12:30pm–6pm, with training provided for each vehicle type. Applicants must have a valid US Class D license and be enrolled in a post-secondary program.

Qualifications

• Enrolled for classes at Ohio University or another post-secondary institution.
• Able to follow instructions and complete tasks within deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate campus transit vehicles to provide safe and efficient transportation.
• Assist passengers and adhere to schedules and safety rules.
• Perform basic vehicle inspection and maintenance tasks as required.
• Clean, inspect, and fuel fleet vehicles and related equipment.
