Job summary

Nexus Family Healing in Baltimore, MD is hiring a Leadership-Focused Campus Supervisor to oversee daily residential operations and supervise frontline staff. This on-site role emphasizes trauma-informed leadership and ensuring high-quality care for youth and families.

Qualifications

Nexus Family Healing is looking to hire a Leadership-Focused Campus Supervisor for our Baltimore, MD location! Take the next step in your behavioral health career as a Campus Supervisor, where you'll coach and support frontline staff while ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed care for youth in residential treatment. In this rewarding leadership role, you'll help shape a therapeutic culture that empowers both clients and team members to grow, heal, and succeed. Nexus-Woodbourne Family Healing is located on a historic site in the heart of Baltimore, Maryland, that has been helping kids in need for over 200 years, originally as an orphanage in the early 1800s. In 2012, Nexus Family Healing affiliated with this location, bringing our innovative trauma-informed practices to the youth of Baltimore. This location includes programs for youth and teens with emotional, behavioral and mental health or sexually problematic behaviors, a diagnostic center, a vocational program, a school and treatment foster care for ages 0-21. Schedule/Location/Pay:
  • 1301 Woodbourne Ave, Baltimore, MD
  • Salary Range - $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
  • Full Time - On-site opportunity
  • Shift - Sunday - Wednesday - 2:00pm - 10:30pm

Position Summary

The Campus Supervisor provides trauma-informed campus leadership to youth care professionals through effective communication, organization, and planning of the daily operations of the program/unit.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily residential treatment operations, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, shift coverage, and a safe, therapeutic environment for clients.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and evaluate staff while promoting trauma-informed, strengths-based care and professional development.
  • Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and scheduling, including timecard approval and coverage coordination.
  • Support client admissions, treatment plan implementation, family engagement, and discharge planning to promote successful treatment outcomes.
  • Monitor and ensure accurate, timely completion of client records, incident reports, medication documentation, and program communications.
  • Oversee delivery of treatment services, ensuring compliance with individualized treatment plans, behavioral interventions, and family involvement goals.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies, documentation standards, licensing requirements, and health and safety regulations.
  • Identify and resolve program, staffing, client, and safety concerns while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, clinical discussions, and program planning to enhance service quality and client care.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies, crises, and critical incidents using sound judgment and established protocols, including First Aid/CPR procedures.
Requirements
Required Education and Licensure:
  • High School Diploma & 2 years Nexus experience working in a treatment/counseling capacity for youth (e.g., residential, foster care/adoption, CTSS, group home/TLP, day treatment, or related adolescent counseling programs) or 4 years external experience working with youth in a residential treatment facility; OR
  • Associates Degree & 2 years minimum experience (external and/or internal experience) working with youth in a residential treatment facility; OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a social work, psychology, or clinically related field in social services, and minimum of 1 year (external and/or internal) of related experience with youth in a residential treatment facility.
  • Minimum of one year of Team Lead and/or supervisory experience is required.
  • Valid driver’s license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements
  • Must successfully pass a DHS/DCFS/CJIS/DHHS/ODHS or other federal and state criminal background check
  • All client-facing Nexus employees must successfully participate and complete a Safety Crisis Management (SCM) exam and training
Preferred Education And Experience
  • 1+ Experience working with families and trauma-exposed children, or adolescents is strongly preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to assist staff in physical interventions and restraints of residents.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time (2-4 hours).
  • Must be able to twist, bend and stretch in a manner conducive to the execution of daily activities within a residential treatment facility.
