Job summary

Lake Sumter State College is seeking an entry-level Student Assistant to support faculty and staff and help ensure smooth departmental operations. This part-time role offers 20–25 hours weekly and flexible scheduling around class time.

Responsibilities include processing sales transactions, greeting customers, maintaining inventory, shelving and organizing store areas, and performing other duties as assigned. Candidates must be enrolled, maintain a 2.0 GPA, and be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled at Lake Sumter State College with a minimum of 6 credit hours.
• Must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.
• Minimum age 18.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Greet customers and vendors to provide a welcoming experience.
• Assist with maintaining accurate inventory through routine cycle counts.
• Keep the store organized by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
