Job summary

Follett Higher Education is seeking a Campus Store Leader for the Blue Ridge CC Bookstore to drive sales, mentor a retail team, and uphold brand and store operations excellence.

You will partner with campus leadership to deliver engaging customer service, manage daily operations, inventory, and financials, and ensure a safe, welcoming, and compliant store environment. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent.
• 0-5 years of relevant experience.
• Academic retail experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
• Advanced relationship building, a demonstrated ability to influence a team, and customer outreach.
• Travel: minimal - less than 10%.

Responsibilities

• Drive store plans and daily operations for traditional and peak periods.
• Execute promotions and events to drive sales.
• Review store financials with leadership and recalibrate goals.
• Manage cash handling, deposits, and daily opening/closing tasks.
• Maintain inventory control and orderly store environment.
• Set up visual merchandise and course materials areas.
• Ensure asset security and safety, adhering to policies.
• Collaborate with course materials leadership on in-store activities.
• Supervise and coach team members (FT/PT and seasonal).
• Schedule hours within budget and cover breaks or peak periods.
• Create an engaging customer service culture and resolve escalated issues.
• Communicate store activities with campus partners.
