Job summary

Barnes & Noble College, a core part of the campus experience, seeks a Temporary Campus Store Team Member to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a welcoming shopping environment. You will assist students and faculty, manage stock, and support daily operations during peak periods.

This role emphasizes friendly merchandising, accurate transactions, and collaborative teamwork to ensure a smooth campus store experience for all visitors.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Help customers locate course materials, supplies, apparel, gifts, and other items.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions, cash, credit, and financial aid purchases.
• Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and well-stocked through merchandising and replenishment.
• Assist with inventory, receiving merchandise, order fulfillment, and other store operations.
• Develop product knowledge and stay informed about merchandise and services to help customers.
