Job summary

Compass Group USA at Purchase College is hiring immediately for a full-time Sous Chef. Location: 735 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase, NY 10577. Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. Pay range: $24.00–$26.00 per hour. Online applications accepted only.

Requirements: 2 years of sous chef experience in a fast-paced environment. This role supports the Executive Chef and oversees kitchen operations with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 2 years of sous chef experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates including scheduling, payroll, training, and reviews.
• Stores food following all sanitation procedures.
• Ensures proper food handling and serving temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and workstation.
• Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Keeps up with peak production and service hours.
• Monitors inventory and deliveries; informs supervisor if low.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
