Job summary

South Texas College is seeking a Bus Driver to transport students, faculty, staff, and others between campuses and Park & Ride lots. You will ensure safe operation, perform daily inspections, fuel the bus, and maintain order on board.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Texas CDL with passenger endorsement and a DOT medical card, excellent communication, and willingness to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Willing to learn computer usage related to position.
• Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives a full-sized passenger bus in compliance with laws and regulations.
• Drives designated routes, fuels daily, and maintains order on board.
• Reports accidents and incidents to dispatch and supervisor immediately.
• Performs pre/post trip inspections and submits inspection reports.
• Assists with maintenance, parking/traffic management and safety duties.
